Happy (almost) New Year. This episode we're digging into Roger Touhy's memoir, The Stolen Years, first published in 1959. Touhy's arrest and conviction for kidnapping John "Jake the Barber" Factor in 1934 is a perfect example of the corruption of prohibition era Chicago through the lens of Chicago police captain Dan Gilbert and State's Attorney Thomas Courtney.

And Touhy's book is publicly available online!
